The Vanishing Tiger
A vanishing tiger illusion without the tiger but with a strong magical pay off!
Hiding in Plain Sight
The illusionist claims that he will attempt to perform an amazing vanishing illusion right in the center of the stage. He explains that he will accomplish the feat using the “cloth of invisibility” – a bright red piece of cloth measuring 3′ x 3′.
The illusionist steps up onto a 2″ thick dolly and two stage hands raise an all-round curtain around him. A few moments later, as the illusionist’s voice is still heard over the sound system, he is seen creeping out from behind the curtain but holding the “cloth of invisibility” in front of his face and body. He tries in vain to hide his escape from the audience as he creeps all the way off stage to the side wings.
Suddenly, the all-round curtain drops and the illusionist is seen standing on the dolly.
Sweepstakes
A torn & restored presentation that gives strong motivation for two pieces of magic that are usually performed without reason or justification. It also makes the combination of two disparate effects logical.
Twisted Conclusion
Mr. Magician introduces his latest illusion contraption to the audience; a small box mounted on an open-fronted box-table. He opens the back doors of the box-table so that the audience can see through the box-table.
Entering the prop from behind, the lovely assistant kneels under the table and places her head up through a hole in the table and into the box. Her face can be clearly seen, as the head box has no front. Mr. Magician closes the back doors and inserts four metal bars in front of the girl, through the top of the table to the bottom of the table, encaging his assistant in place.
Mr. Magician announces that he will conduct an experiment to see what happens if he were to twist his assistant’s head slightly to one side. Using a crank on top of the box, Mr. Magician proceeds to twist the girl’s head at several acute angles and finally 360 degrees around. Her head is revolved several more times in an impossible fashion.
Mr. Magician then openly wonders what happens if her whole body was twisted around. He openly revolves the entire prop 180 degrees so that the back of the prop faces the audience. He then twists the box and girl’s head 180 degrees back to the front. Her head is twisted back to face the back and the entire prop is immediately revolved back 180 degrees to face the audience. However, the assistant is revealed to have completely vanished!
